Grower‑owned Knouse Foods and SHAP celebrate Pennsylvania’s orchard-to-table story with Musselman’s Caramel Apple Sauce, free samples, and fan-favorite apple treats.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — January 10, 2026 — Musselman’s, part of the grower‑owned Knouse Foods Cooperative, Inc., and the State Horticultural Association of Pennsylvania (SHAP) will partner again at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show, January 10–17. SHAP members will hand out sample cups and sell Musselman’s Apple Sauce, including their highly anticipated Caramel flavor, throughout the show. The partnership highlights a deeply local value chain: many SHAP growers supply fresh apples for Musselman’s brand and are member-owners of Knouse Foods, making them both suppliers and stakeholders in the cooperative.

Knouse Foods employees will also volunteer alongside SHAP members at the Farm Show booth, preparing and serving longtime visitor favorites such as apple cider donuts, cider slushies, warm apple dumplings, and other seasonal specialties. This hands-on collaboration underscores Knouse’s enduring commitment to supporting Pennsylvania growers, connecting consumers to local agriculture, and reinvesting in the state’s fruit industry.

“Pennsylvania apple growers are at the heart of everything we do,” said Dave Miller, Vice President of Human Resources and Communications at Knouse Foods. “When Farm Show visitors pick up a jar of Musselman’s Caramel Apple Sauce, they’re taking home the fruits of our grower‑owners’ orchards. We like to think of it as neighbors supporting neighbors and keeping value right here in the Commonwealth.”

“SHAP exists to advance the state’s fruit industry, and this collaboration brings that mission to life,” said SHAP Grower Ellie Hollabaugh Vranich. “With Musselman’s and the Knouse co‑op shoulder‑to‑shoulder with our volunteers, we connect families to the people who grow their food and we channel proceeds into research and education that keep Pennsylvania orchards thriving.”

A Pennsylvania Story Rooted in Heritage

  • Local roots, national reach. Musselman’s has been part of Pennsylvania apple country since 1907. Founded in 1949, Knouse Foods remains a grower-owned cooperative representing more than 100 family farms.
  • SHAP heritage. With a history stretching back well over a century, SHAP champions the Commonwealth’s commercial fruit industry through grower education, promotion, and sustained research investment.
  • Retail momentum. Musselman’s Caramel Apple Sauce continues to gain shelf presence across major U.S. grocery retailers (availability varies by location).
