Easy Homemade Granola

Granola is an easy pantry staple to make yourself. Personalize the nuts, dried fruits, spices, and little extras that you like best.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 4 cups Quick-cooking oats, uncooked
  • 1 ½ cups Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans or almond slices)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • cup MUSSELMAN’S® Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 1 ½ cups Dried fruit (apples, raisins, cranberries or blueberries)
  • OPTIONAL: add coconut or mini choclate chips after the cooked granola has cooled

Directions

  1. Step 1
    In a large bowl combine dry ingredients.

  2. Step 2
    Slowly stir in the vanilla, honey and apple sauce until combined.

  3. Step 3
    Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet greased with cooking spray.

  4. Step 4
    Bake for 20 minutes at 300°F.

  5. Step 5
    Take the granola out of the oven and lightly mix in the dried fruit. If you want the fruit to be softer, add at the end of baking.

  6. Step 6
    Continue cooking for another 20 minutes.

  7. Step 7
    Let the granola cool completely and store in an airtight container or divide into individual portions.
