No Bake Holiday Apple Bites

For a quick and healthy treat packed with fruits, nuts and whole grains, mix up a batch of our No Bake Holiday Apple Bites.

Or to create a unique holiday gift recipe kit, combine the dry ingredients layered in a mason jar and tie a 4 oz. cup of Musselman’s Unsweetened Apple Sauce to the lid with ribbon to add some festive flair. All they need to add is peanut butter.

Ingredients

No Bake Holiday Apple Bites

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup nuts/seeds (sunflower seeds, chopped walnuts, chopped almonds, etc)
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seed (or hemp seeds, chia seeds)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (raisins, dried cranberries, chopped apricots, dried blueberries, etc)
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter (the runny kind)
  • 1 4 oz. cup Musselman's Unsweetened Apple Sauce

Directions

  1. Step 1
    Mix the first 5 ingredients together in a large bowl.

  2. Step 2
    Add Musselman's Apple Sauce and peanut butter, and stir to combine.

  3. Step 3
    Hand-roll the mixture into 12 equally-sized balls.

  4. Step 4
    Freeze or refrigerate in an airtight container.

Storage

Apple Bites should be stored in an airtight container and will last up to 4 days in the refrigerator or up to 2 weeks in the freezer.
