This classic sweet BBQ sauce has any number of uses; add to ground beef, brush on ribs or chicken, or mix with canned beans. Musselman’s Apple Butter makes the flavor.
Saute onion in oil until tender.
Stir in all the other ingredients; apple butter, ketchup, brown mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, horseradish, pepper, and garlic. Bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes.
The sauce can be cooled, covered, and refrigerated for a couple of weeks.
Mix with ground beef or turkey for sloppy joes. Brush on ribs, chicken or pork chops. Add to canned beans.
