Pumpkin Applesauce Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can Lucky Leaf Pumpkin
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Musselman's Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two loaf pans.

  2. Step 2
    In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, apple sauce, water and sugar until well blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until JUST blended, do NOT over mix.

  3. Step 3
    Pour into the prepared pans. Bake for about 50 minutes (could take longer) in the preheated oven. Loaves are done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
