Walnut Apple Bread

This Fall spiced bread made with Musselman’s Apple Butter, makes a great housewarming or holiday gift.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 ¼ cups MUSSELMAN’S® Apple Butter
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease loaf pan.

  2. Step 2
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Set aside.

  3. Step 3
    Sift and mix flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and allspice. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with apple butter, and stir in nuts.

  4. Step 4
    Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

  5. Step 5
    Remove bread from pan; cool thoroughly before slicing.
